Season 11 is here - New Quest System and Variants
Season 11 is coming.
With November 13th fast approaching, we want to make sure you’re as ready and excited for Season 11 as we are. We kicked off the fanfare with a sneak preview and breakdown of the new BOOM! Mode, so go check that out if you haven’t already– we’ll be here when you get back.
We’ll play it straight with you, this piece of Season 11 news won’t have the same glitz and sparkle as the others– we’re getting down to business in this one. That said, it’s going to contain some important stuff that we think will really streamline the SuperCard experience and make things snappier all around. Let’s not waste any time.
Tickets and Quests
Do you ever feel like tickets and quests kind of overlap a bit? Are you tired of claiming tons of ticket packs, holding onto them for indeterminate amounts of time, and constantly debating how to spend them? We are too, frankly. That’s why we’re merging the concepts of Quests and Tickets to make one single comprehensive reward system that’s designed to make it clear what you’ve got to do and what rewards you’ll get. Here’s how:
Let’s take it beat by beat. First up, Tickets and the Ticket Store will be removed in Season 11. When you open up the Quests Menu (the little check in the top right of the main menu), you’ll no longer see three different tabs labeled “Daily”, “Quests”, and “Ticket Store” respectively. This also means that you’ll no longer need to flip through several different places to figure out what you need to do to progress or earn rewards on a given day. Instead, opening the Quests Menu will simply display all of your Quests. In short, the Daily Challenges and Tickets system is getting rolled into the Quests system.
Don’t fret– firstly, you’ll have 90 days to spend all of your built-up tickets. While the ticket store will be gone, all of the Ticket-based packs that would’ve been in the Ticket store (same cost, contents, drop rates, etc) will be at the bottom of the Superstore until Tuesday, February 11th, 2025, so be sure to use your tickets before then. Second, the concept of daily challenges and rewards is not going away. Instead, when you open your Quests window, you’ll see all of the Quests available to you at that time, including Daily Quests that will give you rewards in a similar fashion to the old challenges/ticket system. Instead of receiving tickets, however, you’ll receive bespoke rewards for each objective accomplished. Those objectives and rewards will change daily, so be sure to check back regularly to see what you can earn.
“Regular” quests, like quests tied to in-game events, will remain largely the same but will live in the same window as Daily Quests, allowing you to check your to-do’s all at once.
Each Quest in your Quests Menu will have a set of individual objectives, rewards for completing each of those objectives, and rewards for completing ALL of those objectives– this should feel pretty familiar to what you’re used to. In addition to this, each objective that you complete (across all quests, including daily ones) will grant you Objective Points, which you’ll be able to see at the bottom of your Quest Menu. Accrue enough Objective Points, and you’ll be able to unlock a unique pack that is guaranteed to include a card of your rarity.
We hope that merging these two systems will not only save you time from unwrapping tons of ticket packs every day but also that it will make completing objectives more seamless and exciting.
More Variants
Variants, introduced in Season 10, allow you to complete objectives specific to certain cards to increase those cards’ stats. We rolled out a few Variants in Season 10 such as Ability Savant and Money in the Bank Savant in hopes of giving you more runway to power up your favorite cards. Now, much like the new Quest system, we’re looking to make things a bit more interesting and streamlined.
A few things right off the bat:
Multiple variants will now be used in each rarity
The number of tasks required to complete each card’s variant will be decreased
Some existing cards will have their variant types changed
We’re also adding 13 new variants across Season 11:
SPECIALIST - To fill the SPECIALIST meter, your Superstar card needs to trigger its ability in the ring.
WILD CARD - To fill the WILD CARD meter, your Superstar card needs to win a match in Wild.
MONEY MAKER - To fill the MONEY MAKER meter, your Superstar card needs to win a match in Money in the Bank.
RING KING - To fill the RING KING meter, your Superstar card needs to win a match in King of the Ring.
WARRIOR - To fill the WARRIOR meter, your Superstar card needs to win a match in War.
RING ROYAL - To fill the Royal RING ROYAL meter, your Superstar card needs to win a match in Royal Rumble.
CAGE FIGHTER - To fill the CAGE FIGHTER meter, your Superstar card needs to win a match in Elimination Chamber.
BOOM MASTER - To fill the BOOM MASTER meter, your Superstar card needs to contribute to a win in BOOM!.
POWERHOUSE - To fill the POWERHOUSE meter, your Superstar card needs to win a Power match.
BRUISER - To fill the BRUISER meter, your Superstar card needs to win a Toughness match.
SPEEDSTER - To fill the SPEEDSTER meter, your Superstar card needs to win a Speed match.
SHOWSTOPPER - To fill the SHOWSTOPPER meter, your Superstar card needs to win a Charisma match.
TEAM PLAYER - To fill the TEAM PLAYER meter, your Superstar card needs to win a Tag Team match.
Keep in mind, you can also fill your cards’ Variants by tossing them into the Performance Center for some training. We hope that diversifying Variants in Season 11 will add some nuance and intrigue to building up the best cards in your decks.
