ARCANE TIER AND WATCH PARTY
Arcane:
A portal has opened.
You see an ancient archway engulfed in a pool of blue light. A strange fog swirls and begins sluggishly spilling out. You wonder if you accidentally opened the wrong app. But wait! Something emerges. You see swirling tentacles. And eyeballs. And a staff with a crystal on it!
This can only mean one thing: the mysterious Arcane tier is unleashed upon the SuperCard universe. Woe to your opponents as you wield these powerful cards.
Arcane Tier
Our newest, tier, Arcane tier has arrived. Starting on September 21 at noon Pacific, you can start collecting this all-new set of cards featuring a weird tentacle monster and many of your favorite WWE Superstars, Legends, and Hall of Famers.
This is a full tier release so expect to see the cards in all the usual locations. And for those of you keeping score at home, yes, this is a totally new tier and new timing.
We had a blast designing and creating Arcane and we hope you enjoy these cards as much as we do. By the way, the tentacle monster is affectionately named Mike. He’s nice … as long as you did the summoning ritual correctly.
Watch Party
Aside from our new Arcane collection, this most recent app update has something we’ve been waiting to talk to you about for a loooong time: Watch Party.
Watch Party is a new limited time feature (read: not a mode or event) that allows you to fantasy book PPV results and chat with the global SuperCard community during select WWE events.
Here’s how it works. Before a selected WWE event begins, Watch Party will appear on the main menu. Once available, you’ll be able to hop in and start picking who you believe will win in any match that night using cards from your own catalog.
The process of picking cards is pretty open-ended. Watch Party doesn’t provide the match card – instead, it requires you to have the knowledge of what’s happening during the event and to make any bold prediction that you want.
The cards you choose to represent your picks are important. Trained and fortified cards produce more points if you win. Card rarity also boosts your ending score. When you place a card, you’ll see the potential point value before you lock it in.
At the end of a Watch Party, rewards will be calculated based on the number of correct predictions. The more correct predictions with the better cards that you have, the better your chance at rewards.
Speaking of rewards: there are also passive rewards in Watch Party, if leaning back and chatting is more your thing. Watch Party Packs will drop multiple times during an event at regular intervals controlled by a countdown timer.
SuperCard now has a long history of bringing together people who love wrestling. Truth be told, many of us already use SuperCard to discuss the latest WWE event. Watch Party basically just formalizes this by bringing us together under one roof with some cool rewards.
The first Watch Party rolls out over the weekend of Oct 8 for Extreme Rules. We’ll have more details about how to join a Watch Party and the rewards then. We hope to see you there.
What’s Next
As always, October in SuperCard is a month full of frights, tights, and sights. We’ve definitely got a few surprises planned, too, including some evolutionary cards. But we’re getting ahead of ourselves.
Catch you in the next one.
